La Vertigine

The vertiginous instant is that moment in which the illusion of linear time is suspended. This stopping of time is far from decisive, it is rather more like hesitating, or the experience of an unbearable tension, like that of who is both paralysed and attracted by emptiness.

La Vertigine is a short visual essay on the photographer’s ambiguous material and psychological relation with the abstract notions of space and time. It is an exercise in the dissection and refashioning of his immediate surroundings, in which the eye of the viewer is constantly lured into the space in between the pictures.
